Our Kanna comes from South Africa.
We work with several different growers on the West Coast of the country that have over 20 years of experience cultivating high alkaloid sceletium (kanna) strains.
They use beyond organic standards for their cultivation methods. Zero chemicals, synthetic fertilizers, or non-organic inputs are used in the entire cultivation process.
Plus, a percentage of all sales from the Kanna we purchase goes to support the indigenous San communities of South Africa.
There is not an official organic certification process for Kanna at this time.
However, since Kanna is a hardy succulent that grows in sand, there is little need for synthetic inputs or pesticides, and most growers do not use them.
We only work with growers that follow beyond organic and ethical growing practices.
Every ingredient is thoroughly tested for purity and contaminants, including microbial screening for any bacteria, yeast, and mold; heavy metals; pesticides; as well as testing for purity and active compounds.
